Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd has welcomed news that Rushmere Shopping centre has been purchased out of administration by Killahoey Group.
Mr O’Dowd said:
“There has been some uncertainty for businesses and workers in Rushmere since it went into administration in April 2022.
“Those businesses and workers who are the heartbeat of the centre will welcome the announcement that the centre is now under new ownership.
“The retail sector is under pressure as it faces significant competition from online businesses but it still remains a major employer in Upper Bann and the purchase of Rushmere by new owners will secure many jobs in the sector.”
