Loughside Festival Launches Exciting 2026 Festival Programme

The Loughside Festival Committee is delighted to announce the launch of the 2026 Loughside Festival, which will take place in Warrenpoint from Saturday 8 August to Sunday 16 August 2026.

The week-long celebration promises a packed programme of family entertainment, live music, cultural events, sporting activities, community celebrations and the much-anticipated fireworks display, offering something for all ages while showcasing the very best of Warrenpoint and the surrounding area.

Loughside Festival Chairperson Tommy Mulligan said:

“The Loughside Festival Committee is delighted to launch our 2026 Festival and welcome everyone to Warrenpoint for what promises to be another fantastic week of celebration. Our festival continues to grow each year thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, local businesses, funding partners and, most importantly, the local community, whose enthusiasm and commitment make the festival possible. We look forward to welcoming local residents, returning visitors and first-time guests to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.”

The Committee is also pleased to announce that Fibrus Broadband has come on board as the Main Business Sponsor for the 2026 Festival.

Tommy Mulligan added:

“We are proud to welcome Fibrus Broadband as our Main Business Sponsor for 2026. Their commitment to supporting local communities makes them an ideal partner for the Loughside Festival, and we are grateful for their generous support in helping us deliver another outstanding programme of events.”

The Committee also acknowledged the continued support of its returning local business sponsors, whose generosity plays a vital role in making the festival possible. Special recognition was given to the festival’s principal funders, PEACEPLUS, together with the continued support of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, the Warrenpoint, Burren & Rostrevor Chamber of Commerce, partner organisation Omeath Tidy Towns, numerous community organisations, and the many volunteers whose dedication and hard work ensure the festival’s continued success.

The 2026 Loughside Festival will once again celebrate the strong community spirit and enduring cross-border friendships that make Warrenpoint such a special place to live and visit.
