Detectives have charged a 51 year old man with ‘prohibition of possession of a firearm or ammunition’ and is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates court on Monday morning, 27 March.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow a proactive police search at a property in the Garvaghy Road area of Dromara on Saturday 25 March during which a number of firearms and ammunition were seized.
