Playr-fit Corporate Sponsorship for PIPS Hope and Support

Playr-fit, the local teamwear and sportswear specialists based at Cloughoge Business Park in Newry, have proudly announced their corporate sponsorship with PIPS Hope and Support, a charity dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health.

In 2022, Playr-fit organised and hosted the highly successful ‘Business 5-A-Side Football Tournament’, raising just under £3,000.00 in support of PIPS Hope and Support’s services across the Southern Trust, Newry, Mourne & Down, and Upper Bann Areas.

Building on the success of their previous event, the Playr-fit team has chosen PIPS Hope and Support as their corporate sponsor for 2023. The charity will receive branded workwear, and Playr-fit will host an annual Business 5-A-Side Football Tournament in June to raise awareness and funds for the charity across the local business sector.

This partnership is a testament to Playr-fit’s commitment to supporting the local community and promoting mental health awareness. By working together with PIPS Hope and Support, Playr-fit hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by mental health issues and suicide.

Playr-fits managing director, Kieran Quinn, recently spoke about the company’s corporate sponsorship. He stated that as part of their corporate social responsibility, they are thrilled to continue their charitable efforts by sponsoring PIPS Hope and Support, “As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are delighted to continue our charitable efforts with corporate sponsorship for PIPS Hope and Support.  PIPS Hope and Support provides invaluable services to the local community, and Playr-fit is pleased to assist them in their mission.

We are excited to host our annual business 5-a-side football tournament again this year, following the success of last year’s event. Businesses that sign up for the tournament will receive a brand-new set of bespoke Playr-fit jerseys with their company logo and colours. Playr-fit will cover the cost of these jerseys, and all proceeds will go directly to PIPS Hope and Support.”

Padraig Harte, fundraising, marketing, and communications manager with PIPS Hope and Support acknowledged the charities generosity, stating “PIPS Hope and Support is delighted with the corporate sponsorship from Playr-fit.  Anytime we have asked, Playr-fit have delivered and we are so thankful of their continued support.  Not only have they allowed us to promote our charity with branded workwear, but their annual business 5-a-side football tournament will make a huge difference to the lives of families and individuals who are emotionally distressed and in need of meaningful support, helping to save lives and supporting bereaved families.”

The business 5-a-side tournament will take place at Newry City Athletic Football Club Cages on Friday 23rd June from 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
