Council Slow Cooker Programme Success!

Local men from across the ABC borough have picked up new skills and new friendships at a recent slow cooker programme, held in Ardmore Recreation Centre, Armagh.

Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in collaboration with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, this programme was funded by the Public Health Agency through the ABC Age Friendly Programme.

Running for two weeks in February, the programme was designed to support men who have suffered a bereavement and to help them learn how to use a slow cooker, improve their lifestyle, and to also meet other like-minded people.

All participants received a slow cooker, encouraging them to put their new skills into practice, helping them sustain healthy habits and choices.

The next two-week programme will take place in Banbridge Leisure Centre on Thursday 09 March and Thursday 16 March from 10am to 11.30am.
