SDLP Cusher Representative Emmajayne McKernan has said she has reported a number dangerous potholes on roads across Cusher.
McKernan said, “I’ve been contacted by many rural road users about the dire state of the roads. Drivers are facing dangerous conditions between surface water, poor drainage, lack of gritting and now the all-too-common potholes.
“I’ve reports of many cars being seriously damaged after driving over some of these potholes and the repair bill is not cheap. I do encourage any driver who damages their vehicle because of a pothole to officially report it and make a claim.
“If your car has been damaged by a pothole, you can make a claim on the NI Direct website, alternatively people can get in touch with me and I will be happy to provide a hard copy claim form.
“Our roads are in a terrible state at present with potholes and surface defects which has been compounded by the drop in temperature. I encourage all road users to drive safely.
