Sinn Féin councillor has welcomed confirmation that a number of key works will now go ahead at Darkley Primary School.
The Cusher Councillor said:
“A number of key works are now confirmed to go ahead for Darkley Primary School.
“The school contacted me with concerns over safety issues with access to their playground and releasing funds for a number of upgrade works from the EA.
“After working closely with the school and all agencies involved, I’m delighted that progress has been made on these issues.
“The playground now has a brand new safety gate, allowing pupils safe access to the play area.
“The funds to allow for a new, safer pedestrian entrance as well as an upgrade to the playground space have also now been released.
“This will allow the school to deliver better facilities for all their pupils in the time ahead.
“I will continue to work closely with the school to assist them as this process continues.
