Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has said the current financial pressures facing DFI are posing real issues to the delivery of key infrastructure projects across the north.
The Newry and Armagh MLA said:
“Improving rural roads, expanding sewer capacity and delivering cornerstone projects such as the A6 are all facing further challenges as a result of the current financial pressures.
“I met with DFI this week, along with Padraig Delargey MLA, to discuss the current situation and how this has impacted their ability to deliver these key projects for workers, families and businesses.
“We need to see sustainable investment into our Infrastructure moving forward, to ensure we can work to deliver on these key projects.
“We need an Executive up and running as soon as possible to help support sustainable development of infrastructure projects across the north.
