Magennis Welcomes Resurfacing Work on South Armagh Roads

Sinn Féin councillor Oonagh Magennis has welcomed confirmation that the next phase of resurfacing works on the main Hall Rd/Crossmaglen Rd is to begin soon.

The Slieve Gullion councillor said:

“After much lobbying on behalf of local residents, DFI have confirmed that they intend to carry out these works by the end of March.

“This second phase of the project will see the road resurfaced from the bus stop at Calmor View to the junction of the Longfield road, Lislea.

“This stretch of road is in bad need of repair and these works will come at great relief to local residents.

“There will be diversions put in place to accommodate these works at the time and we will inform locals as soon as more information is available on these.

“Sinn Féin is committed to continue to work to improve our rural roads for all in South Armagh.”
