Questions have been asked of the Education Authority following extensive delays in the public accessing their free school meals and uniform allowance application.
Clanrye News and Sport was contacted by several families who have waited in long queues to gain access and have still been unable to fill out the important application for school meal and uniform support.
A spokesperson for the Education Authority (EA) said:
“Due to high volumes of traffic on our website, we are using an automated queuing system which means that some parents may have faced delays in accessing our Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance application.
Our teams continue to work hard to improve this process.”
“Parents have until 31st July to apply to ensure their application is processed before the start of the new school year in September.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we thank parents for their continued co-operation.”
