MP’s Mobile Surgery on the Road Again

Local MP Carla Lockhart has thanked those who attended her Mobile Advice Surgery in Killicomaine and Birches on Friday. Despite the rather inclement weather, a good number of constituents called in to raise issues and engage with their Member of Parliament.

Speaking afterwards, Carla said:

“Since I entered elected politics, I have always enjoyed being out and about in communities, and helping those who need advice or support.

As MP, I see this as a vitally important service, and whilst I have a very busy full time constituency office I believe it is important that as a public representative, I bring that advice service into local communities, ensuring access for as many people who may be in need of help.

It was great to be in Killicomaine and Birches today, and I want to thank all those who braved the showers to meet with me. This Friday (24th) I will be in Rectory, Brownstown and Edgarstown and I would issue an open invitation for people to call in for a chat, or to raise any issue with me. My message is clear – I am here to represent you, to help you, and to improve our communities.”

Full details for the advice surgeries on Friday are as follows: Rectory – in front of NHS mural – 10am to 11.30am, Borwnstown – in front of Primary School – 12pm – 1.30pm, Edgarstown – beside Community House – 2pm – 3.30pm.
