Police are appealing for information in relation to an arson incident in Newry on Wednesday, November 3.
Inspector Kerr said: “Police received a report at 10:30pm that a car at a house in the Courtney Hill area went on fire at around 10pm
“Officers attended the scene together with colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the blaze.
“Extensive damage was caused to the car in this reckless incident which could have had devastating consequences if the fire had spread.
“As we continue with our enquiries, I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, and in particular anyone who may have any dash cam or other footage, to call us on 101, quoting reference number 1982 of 03/11/21.”
