Hosted by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, this popular event will transform the historic market into a Halloween wonderland packed with spooky entertainment, family-friendly activities, live music, artisan shopping, delicious food and drink and plenty of surprises around every corner.
Speaking about its return, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Glyn Hanna, said: “Newry Halloween Twilight Market has become one of the highlights of our Halloween programme and a much-loved event for local families and visitors alike. It is a fantastic opportunity for people to come together, enjoy a fun-filled evening and support our local traders and performers.
Chairperson Cllr Hanna continued, “There will be plenty to keep little witches, wizards and monsters entertained throughout the evening with a range of spooky arts and crafts, Halloween games, face painting and potion-making activities. We are delighted to bring the event back to Newry Variety Market and look forward to welcoming everyone for another memorable Halloween celebration.”
Adding to the Halloween atmosphere, visitors can also enjoy live entertainment from The Just Adam Band, providing the soundtrack to an evening of spooky fun. A family Halloween disco will also keep the party going, with prizes awarded for the best fancy-dress costumes on the night. Spot prizes will be handed out throughout the event, giving visitors even more opportunities to join in the fun.
