Sinn Féin MP Chris Hazzard described comments around the reform of Stormont made by DUP leader, Gavin Robinson as double speak and totally detached from reality.
The South Down MP said: “While Gavin Robinson says politicians must want to work together, the DUP continue to frustrate progress – on the Good Jobs Bill, on Environmental Protection, on Health issues and are misusing the Petition of Concern to block progressive changes to the minimum age of criminal responsibility.
“The hypocrisy is clear to see. When it comes to the reform of Stormont the DUP are the outliers and the major obstacle to cooperation and partnership.
“The DUP are clearly intent on blocking, delaying and stifling any progress.
“Sinn Féin will continue to work with other parties to deliver progressive legislation for workers, families and communities.”
