Sinn Féin MLA Conor Murphy has said the Executive must be formed now to help businesses to grow and strengthen the economy.
Responding to a report from Ulster Bank, the party’s economy spokesperson said:
“We need the Executive formed now to help grow our businesses, particularly the construction industry which has seen slow growth.
“It is clear we need an Economy Minister in place who is focused on investment, creating jobs and strengthening the economy.
“I welcome the fact that sectors like manufacturing and retail are benefiting from an increase in new orders and employment.
“The fact that the north is outperforming areas of Britain points to the huge benefits of our unique access to the EU and British markets.
“We need an Executive in place and parties working together to seize the major opportunities available to us to create good jobs.”
