SDLP Crotlieve Councillor Karen McKevitt has welcomed the completion of resurfacing works on Sandy Road and has thanked residents for their patience in waiting for improvements to be made.
McKevitt said: ‘Our roads are in a terrible state at the moment and it is currently the number one issue constituents are contacting me about every day. We all see it and we have all adjusted our driving to manoeuvre around dangerous potholes that litter our roads. That is why it was great to notify residents on Sandy Road of resurfacing works after their road deteriorated considerably in recent years.’
‘I have been working for the last three years on this road alone. It has been a frustrating wait, particularly for residents and I thank them for their patience. Most of the road has now been resurfaced and residents I’ve spoken to are pleased with the result. I would urge those seeking similar outcomes to please get in touch. The SDLP are keen to see proper investment in our roads and I will continue to lobby consistently on your behalf.
