Sinn Féin Councillor Sorchá McGeown has congratulated residents of Victoria Street and surrounding streets for organising a community clean up on Sunday morning.
Cllr McGeown said;
‘ I joined with residents on the clean-up and it was heartening to see the community spirit of those involved as they played their part in keeping their area clean and tidy. ‘
Too often recently Lurgan has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, but the reality is Lurgan is a good place made up of good people, and the residents clean-up is a good example of the real Lurgan.
‘The residents are to be congratulated for their initiative in step in and cleaning up the area.”
