TUV Leader Jim Allister has called the potential Protocol deal as unacceptable.
Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:
“If this is a Prime Minister who is disinterested in being Prime Minister of a United Kingdom and is prepared to cede sovereignty over law-making to a foreign power then he’s not heading for a deal which will be acceptable to Unionism.
“Northern Ireland is now subject to the laws of a foreign legislature, laws we do not make. Furthermore, if further laws are made on issues impacted by the Protocol without any say they will automatically apply to Northern Ireland.
“Is the Prime Minister Prime Minister of a United Kingdom or does someone else make the laws for part of the Kingdom?”
