Sinn Féin councillor Bróna Haughey has requested a site meeting with DFI to discuss how to tackle the flooding issues on the Tullynagin road.
The Cusher Councillor said:
“Like many roads in the Cusher area, the Tullynagin road is plagued by flooding and drainage issues.
“Along with the flooding issues, there is also the issue of debris on the road, much of which is brought out by the flooding conditions.
“All of this creates conditions on the road that pose a real road safety issue to local residents, many of whom have contacted me to raise their concerns on this issue.
“I have now requested a meeting with DFI engineers on site to assess the current state of the road and what we can do to help address these issues.
“It’s important that our roads are kept safe for all.
“Improving road safety for our rural communities is a key priority for Sinn Féin.”
