Sinn Féin spokesperson Aidan Mathers has slammed those responsible for an explosive device in Newry.
The Newry City spokesperson spoke after a viable explosive device was found at a home in the Barcroft area on Wednesday night.
Aidan Mathers said:
“I condemn those responsible, they caused fear and disruption for the community, with many local residents being evacuated to the Barcroft Community Centre.
“There is absolutely no place for these actions, and no support for those involved.
“The people responsible for this incident need to get off the back of our community.
“I would appeal for anyone with information to contact the police.
