Southern Area Hospice Services Dance Committee are delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for the much anticipated, 51st Annual Hospice Gala Ball after a two-year break. Taking place on Friday 3rd March 2023 in the Canal Court Hotel & Spa, Newry this year’s event will be back with a bang and a night not to be missed!
The evening will commence with a glittering drinks reception with music by John Cosgrove, followed by a beautiful 5 course Gala Dinner, a live auction with an array of must have items on offer, including the Sekret Chef Experience, signed Irish rugby goods, and much more, plus a fabulous raffle. The night will be hosted by Newry local and TV star, Grainne McCoy.
This year the Committee are pulling out all the stops as they celebrate their big return to the Gala Ball after Covid-19. Caroline Grant, Chairperson of the Hospice Dance Committee commented;
“For the past two years, due to covid, the Gala Ball did not take place, so we are delighted that ‘The Ball is Back in Town’. Please support the Gala Ball by purchasing your tickets early. This is sure to be a sell-out event.”
“The Committee would like to thank Ashtree Financial & Tinnelly Group for their generous sponsorship this year and look forward to working with them both.
We would also like to thank all the local businesses who are donating prizes to the raffle and auction. It is always a very special evening and is wonderful to see the tremendous support for the Hospice from our local community!”
The headline sponsors for this year’s event are Ashtree Financial and Tinnelly Group. Michael Blaney, Managing Director of Ashtree Financial, & Joanne and Roisin from Tinnelly Group agreed that the Gala Ball is the corner stone of the local event calendar, and a fantastic way to raise funds for the Hospice. Both parties hold the cause close to their hearts and are delighted to support the event once again, wishing the Committee well with the final preparations and looking forward to a great evening.
Tickets are priced at £65 per person and all proceeds from the event will go to Southern Area Hospice Services to help to provide much needed Hospice care in our area. If you cannot attend the event, you can still place a silent bid on the auction prizes by contacting Bernie in the Hospice Fundraising Team.
