Sinn Féin Councillor Oonagh Magennis has welcomed £2.8M in funding for the proposed recreation hub at Camlough lake.
The Slieve Gullion Councillor said:
“This money secured from the levelling up fund is a great step forward for this project.
“We have consistently pressed the council to be proactive in drawing down funding, so securing £2.8M for the project is a great start.
“The proposed design will see a first class recreation facility built, along with parking facilities and picnic areas.
“It’s important that we keep momentum behind this key project, it will be a massive boost for the local area.
“Sinn Féin will work together with everyone to ensure that this project is delivered both for Camlough and the wider South Armagh community.
