Last month, Buttercrane offered free visits to their Santa experience as part of their ‘season of giving, inviting visitors to make a voluntary donation in lieu of payment to the St Vincent de Paul society.
£1000 was raised and today Centre Manager Peter Murray donated a cheque to society representative Hugh McShane, to help support local families this winter.
Centre Manager Peter Murray said: “We felt it was wrong in the climate of a cost of living crisis to charge families to see Santa and I am delighted that so many people were able to donate to support the work of the St Vincent de Paul organisation in our local area. I like to say thank you to everyone who donated and I’m delighted to make this cheque presentation on their behalf.”
