Sinn Féin councillor Mickey Larkin has welcomed the latest in a series of road repairs carried out by DFI on the Longfield road in Forkhill.
The Slieve Gullion councillor said:
“I hope that the latest works carried out here on the Longfield road will help make it a safer surface for everyone to drive on.
“I have met DFI on site a number of times recently to highlight various issues including subsidence, a ‘double dip’ and most recently the ‘rise’ in the road surface.
“I’m glad that DFI have taken action after each meeting and that they have done so again.
“The road surface is now in a much better condition and I hope that this will resolve the road safety issue this surface presented to residents and all who use this road.”
