As a final instalment of our celebrations for Positive Ageing Month, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Michael Savage enjoyed a screening of the ‘Banshees of Inisherin’ in Newry Omniplex along with a packed audience of our older residents.
The evening, hosted in partnership with the PSNI, Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust was a huge success. Each person who attended the event also received information and advice from the PSNI on a range of subjects including: ‘Scams – ‘What to Look Out For and How to Avoid Them, ‘Personal Safety’ and residents also benefitted from tips and advice on how to keep their homes safe from burglars.
