Sinn Féin Councillor Oonagh Magennis has said that the DUP boycott of the Executive abandons farmers and rural communities facing an unprecedented cost of living crisis.
The Slieve Gullion Councillor said:
“Our local farmers are facing spiralling costs of fuel, feed and fertilizer as well as the uncertainty caused by Brexit.
“The DUP boycott of the Executive abandons farmers and rural communities who are facing an unprecedented cost of living crisis.
“How much longer will the DUP leader Jeffery Donaldson sit on his hands while our farmers and rural communities are left to struggle against costs that continue to rise.
“Sinn Féin wants to do the job we were elected to do, to work together with other parties to support farmers and rural communities.”
