Many local families will already be thinking about the cost of sending their children back to school in September with expensive school uniforms top of the list. In a bid to support local families, St Vincent De Paul is appealing for donations of money or school uniform clothing which is no longer needed and still in good condition. All and funds raised will go back into supporting the work of St Vincent De Paul across our local area.
Chairperson Councillor Michael Savage said “St Vincent De Paul is one of my chosen charities for this year and are one of many charities assisting in the cost-of-living crisis that many people in our local area are experiencing. I will be supporting their school uniform initiative and urge residents to call into to the St Vincent De Paul with outgrown items or even school equipment that is no longer needed as this could alleviate some of the pressures on another local family.”
