Workers Party assembly candidate for Newry and Armagh Nicola Grant has expressed her gratitude following her assembly campaign. The Workers Party representative for Newry and Armagh has stated she is determined to do whatever takes to improve the lives of people in her constituency.
Speaking to Clanrye News and Sport Mrs Grant said:
“I want to thank those people who trusted me with their first preference votes and also everyone who helped out in any way during my campaign.
There will be winners and losers in any election campaign, but I feel honoured to have had the opportunity to present the socialist alternative to the people of Newry and Armagh and grateful for the reception and the support that I received.”
“The same problems and difficulties that faced us all last week still face us today and I will continue to campaign for the retention of services at Daisy Hill Hospital, for full pay awards for our health and care staff and for the development of local public services.
I am determined to do what I can to improve the lives of people in this constituency and to raise awareness about social and economic issues including health, education, low pay, public housing and the environment.
I believe that these are the issues that really matter to local people, young and old, and I will continue to highlight them on behalf of the Workers Party and everyone in this constituency.”
