“In 2019 I made the decision to resign my post with Newry Mourne and Down District Council and in the same year I successfully contested the Local Government Elections being fortunate and humble of securing your support.
Since then as your Independent Newry City Councillor I have concentrated on dedicating myself to providing a inclusive service for my electorate and I have tried to help everyone who has asked me.”
“I will continue to put people first representing them to the best of my abilities and now I come to you seeking a mandate to represent you as a Newry and Armagh Assembly Member.
In making my declaration I have been amazed and overwhelmed at the number of people, community and voluntary groups and businesses who have encouraged me to contest this election.”
“If I am fortunate enough to be elected to the Assembly I will prioritise a wide range of issues and concerns which are having a major impact throughout Newry and Armagh.
They include, Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry’s People’s Park, Cost of Living Issues, Regeneration of Newry/Armagh City Centres, Car Parking, Newry Market, Cross Border Development, Community Organisations, Rural Development and more with finer details addressed in my manifesto.
I believe this is the perfect time for me to take this next step in my political career requesting the future and continuing support of the people of Newry and Armagh and in return fighting their corner during these difficult times.
I ask you to lend me your support and join us on this journey ahead.”
