Police Appeal Following Vehicle Theft in Newry

Police are appealing for information following the report of a vehicle theft in Newry on Tuesday 8th March.

Sergeant McCarthy said: “Shortly before 4.45pm, it was reported that a white Audi Q3 from stolen from outside premises in at Upper Water Street in the city.

“The vehicle was parked at around 11am, and was last seen at approximately 1.25pm. Around an hour later, it was detected travelling on the A1 dual carriage way in the direction of the Republic of Ireland.

“Our investigation is ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information, or who may have seen the vehicle, or have any dash cam footage to contact police on 101, and quote reference number 1208 of 08/03/22.”

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
