Council Warns of Severe Weather

Council statement via social media

“Please be aware that the Met Office has issued a Yellow Wind Warning throughout the following times:

🟡Between 3pm on Wednesday 16 February to 6am Thursday 17 February. #StormDudley will bring high westerly winds with gusts reaching 60 to 70 mph. Gusts will be highest in coastal areas.

🟡Between 12am to 9pm on Friday 18 February. #StormEunice will bring some snow and high winds with gusts reaching 55 to 65 mph.

This is likely to cause some travel disruption and generate some large and dangerous waves around coastal areas.

Council is advising the public to exercise caution when visiting Forests, Country Parks, Nature Reserves or coastal sites in vehicles or on foot until the wind subsides. Services at our sites may be disrupted with possible short notice closures. If it is essential that you leave your home at this time we advise that you exercise caution, minimise risk and remain aware of updated Met Office advice.”
