Two Further Arrests Following Shooting at Carnbane,Newry

Detectives investigating a shooting incident at Carnbane Industrial Estate, Newry, on Tuesday 8th February, have made two further arrests.

A 39-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The 39-year-old man was subsequently released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 27-year-old man remains in police custody at this time.

A third man, aged 27, arrested last Thursday (10th February) in connection with the incident, was released on bail pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives continue to appeal to anyone with any information or dashcam footage in relation to the incident, to contact them at Ardmore Station on 101, quoting reference number 679 08/02/22.
