Police received a report following a concern for safety at the Chancellor’s Road area of Newry this morning (Saturday 21st August).
A woman was taken to hospital following the incident.
Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady has expressed concern over a serious incident in Newry this morning.
“There was a very serious incident at Chancellor’s link in the early hours of this morning. A woman has been airlifted to the Royal Hospital in Belfast with her injuries described as serious but not life threatening.”
Continuing Mickey Brady said that:
“I was deeply shocked to hear about the incident this morning and hope that the woman involved makes a swift and complete recovery.”
