The announcement by Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey that Carnagat Community Association has received funding of £234,000 from the Neighbourhood Renewal Investment Fund has been warmly welcomed by Newry and Armagh MLA Liz Kimmins.
The local MLA said,
“This will be a massive boost for the Carnagat area, and I want to pay tribute to the significant work by the Carnagat Community Association without whose commitment and dedication this would no have been possible. The funding will help develop new projects and to provide a better quality of services to all”.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Carnagat Community Association for many years, before I entered politics and throughout my time on council and now as an MLA, and they have shown time and time again just how much they care about their community.
This well deserved investment will transform this community and enhance the lives of many.”
