Police in Newry have charged a 28 year old man with a total of 17 offences including burglary, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon, assault on police and going equipped to steal. He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on Thursday 30th September. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
The charges are in connection with an incident at a shopping centre at Bridge Street in Newry in the early hours of Saturday 4th September.
