Boylan Welcomes Kimmins’ Delivery of £375,000 Investment for Farnaloy Road Madden

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has welcomed the announcement of £375,000 for resurfacing works for the Farnaloy Road in Madden, commending the delivery of Sinn Féin Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins.

Mr Boylan said that he, along with Sinn Féin Councillor Ashley Mallon, has worked hard to raise local concerns and push for this long-needed investment on behalf of residents and road users.

Cathal Boylan MLA said:

“This £375,000 investment in the Farnaloy Road is good news for locals and motorists. Minister Liz Kimmins is getting on with the job of improving our roads, enhancing road safety and delivering for local communities.

“Ashley and I have raised local residents’ and road users’ concerns about the condition of this road, and I am pleased to see those concerns are now being addressed by real, on-the-ground investment.

“Under Minister Kimmin’s leadership, the Infrastructure Department is focused on outcomes; safer roads, better connectivity and tangible improvements that people can benefit from.”

Cathal Boylan MLA added:

“This investment is good news for Madden. Minister Liz Kimmins is delivering where it matters, investing in essential infrastructure and ensuring rural areas receive the attention and funding they deserve.

“We will continue to work with the Minister to press for further delivery across our communities.”

Sinn Féin MP Dáire Hughes also welcomed the announcement and said it demonstrated the strength of working as a team to deliver for local people.

He said:

“This £375,000 investment reflects the consistent and coordinated work of the Sinn Féin team in raising local priorities and pressing for action. By working together at every level, we have ensured that communities like Madden receive the investment they deserve.

“We will continue to work hard to deliver real results by listening to local concerns and securing practical improvements that make a difference to people’s everyday lives.”
