Sinn Féin Councillor Valerie Harte has welcomed a £200,000 street lighting upgrade for Abbey Way, Newry, delivered by Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins.
“The scheme will replace 30 lighting columns, renew cabling and install modern LED lighting, improving safety and accessibility for residents, businesses and road users.
Councillor Harte said she was delighted to see the project being delivered and commended Minister Kimmins for her strong commitment to local and rural infrastructure.
“I also welcome that off-peak working will minimise disruption to local residents and businesses alike.”
