Sinn Féin Councillor Sarah Duffy has said the closure of the Omniplex cinema in Armagh is disappointing for families and the wider community
“This will be disappointing news for many, especially families and young people who’ve enjoyed the cinema over the years. My thoughts are with the staff affected at this difficult time.
Councillor Duffy confirmed that Armagh DEA councillors met with council officials to begin looking at solutions and the next steps.
“Our focus is on finding a positive replacement for the site — something that brings social and economic value to the city centre.
“Sinn Féin will continue working to support local communities and ensure Armagh city centre remains a vibrant and welcoming place.”
