Sinn Féin Councillor Aidan Mathers has asked residents in the Barcroft area of Newry City to be vigilant about possible burglaries in the area.
Councillor Mathers said;
“Last night a home in Barcroft Park was burgled. I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area to report it immediately. These criminals care nothing about the damage they cause nor the concern they inflict on their victims.
I would ask all residents in the area to be vigilant and look out for their elderly or more vulnerable neighbours”
