New Driver NI Partners with Road Safe NI Charity to Promote Safe Driving to Schools Across Northern Ireland

New Driver Safety Ambassadors Limited (New Driver NI) is delighted to announce a new partnership with Road Safe NI Charity to deliver their award-winning safe motoring presentations to students across Northern Ireland this school year. The partnership was officially launched today at Lumen Christi College, Derry~Londonderry.

This exciting collaboration and initiative aims to enrich the learning experience for young drivers and passengers by highlighting the significance of safe motoring choices. New Driver NI regularly visits schools to deliver engaging and informative presentations that educate young drivers and passengers on road safety. With the added support from Road Safe NI, these presentations are set to be even more impactful, helping students grasp and understand their crucial role in road safety.

The presentations are offered free of charge to schools, thanks to the generous contributions from funding partners and sponsors. Each participant will also receive a complimentary copy of the New Driver NI magazine, featuring crucial information about driving and road safety.

Students also have the opportunity to win up to £2,000 by signing the New Driver Pledge, an initiative sponsored by Road Safe NI, CRASH Services, and JMK Solicitors. The pledge encourages adherence to five key road safety rules:

1. Respect the Speed Limit!

2. No Mobile While Mobile!

3. Never Drive When Tired!

4. Not a Drop, Not a Drag!

5. Belt Up, Front & Back!

Stephen Savage from New Driver NI commented “As we celebrate our tenth year, we are delighted that the New Driver NI program continues to expand, with positive feedback received every year from students, teachers, and schools. The partnership with Road Safe NI Charity launched today, is a crucial component in helping to reinforce our commitment to educating young drivers and road users across Northern Ireland.”

Davy Jackson from Road Safe NI added, “We are excited to partner with New Driver NI this year to help educate young drivers and passengers. With too many young people still being seriously injured or losing their lives on Northern Ireland’s roads, it’s crucial we play our part in educating our young people to help them make safer choices on the roads. Our goal this year is to collect 10,000 safe motoring pledges, offering students a chance to win £2,000 in cash prizes for their participation.”

The program is completely free for schools, thanks to the generous support of corporate sponsors such as CRASH Services, JMK Solicitors, Hankook Tyres, AB&C Insurance, DriveTech UK, Used Cars NI and local Policing and Community Safety Partnerships.
