Sinn Féin representatives Conor Murphy MLA, Liz Kimmins MLA and Mickey Brady MP recently met with representatives from the Southern Trust on to discuss the current operations of Daisy Hill Hospital and their plans for the future.
Following the meeting Conor Murphy MLA commented:
“This was a positive and informative meeting with the trust where we discussed issues such as the return of the fracture clinic, imaging suites, waiting lists, recruitment, capital works and long term plans for the hospital.”
“We received assurances of a commitment to bring the fracture clinic back to Daisy Hill in the near future as a priority for the trust, as well as a commitment to tackle the huge waiting lists faced by the community, particularly with orthopedic operations”
The MLA concluded:
“Tackling waiting lists and improving access to services is a key objective for Sinn Féin in this area and we will continue to work towards these goals”
