The Republican Party Saoradh has condemned a recent spate of vandalism that occurred at a new housing development in Newry.
The social housing project at Craigmore View has seen windows smashed and machinery damaged by youths in the past couple of weeks.
Saoradh representatives have visited the scene and spoke with residents who have relayed concerns at the anti-community activity which has occurred.
This is a much needed social housing project which will provide homes for those who need them most.
This wanton vandalism is completely unacceptable and will only delay the progress of the work being carried out.
Saoradh urge parents to help ensure that their children stay away from this building site. Not only because of the vandalism but because building sites are not play areas and can pose obvious dangers.
Our activists will be monitoring this housing development and we hope the anti-community behaviour ceases.
