Robbery at Mullaghbawn Shop

Detectives are appealing for information after a report of a robbery at a shop in the Forkhill Road area of Mullaghbawn in County Armagh yesterday (Tuesday, June 8).

Shortly after 6.30pm, it was reported that a man entered the store, armed with a knife and forced a female staff member to open the tills before he made off with a sum of cash.
It is believed that the suspect made off on foot in the direction of Glebe Park.
Detective Inspector Handley said: “The male is described as wearing a dark blue McKenzie top with a grey hood, grey tracksuit bottoms, white shoes with three blue stripes and white latex gloves. His face was covered with a full black face mask.

“Thankfully no-one was physically injured as a result of this incident  but the member of staff was understandably left very shaken.
“If you were in the area at the time or may have any dashcam or CCTV footage which could help, please contact police on 101 quoting serial 1671 of 08/06/21.
