Sinn Féin Councillor Selina Murphy has welcomed the progression of the Hilltown Community Trial to planning stage, proposed by Sinn Féin Councillor Kate Murphy and agreed by the Active and Healthy Communities Committee.
“This progression brings us one step closer to meaningful improvements for local people, and is a significant step forward for both Hilltown village and Clonduff GAC.
“These plans provide for safe off-road walking trails, encourage participation in physical activity, and enhance the connectivity of the area.
“These improvements will make the trail accessible, safe, and welcoming for everyone,” said the Crotlieve DEA Councillor.
South Down MLA Sinéad Ennis added;
“Our Sinn Féin team will continue to advocate for inclusive, safe, and vibrant public spaces, ensuring investment delivers real benefits on the ground for local communities.”
