Sinn Féin MLA Aoife Finnegan has condemned the burglary of two churches in Newtownhamilton.
Police believe the burglaries occurred between 3pm on Christmas Day, 25 December, and 9am on 26 December.
“Targeting places of worship at any time shows a complete disregard for the community.
“But during the Christmas period, it is reprehensible.
“Those responsible must be held to account. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the Dundalk Street or Castleblayney Street areas of Newtownhamilton or has CCTV, dashcam, or other information, should contact the police.”
