Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has said that recent meetings of the North South Inter-Parliamentary Association underline the urgent need to build an integrated All-Ireland national health service that delivers equal access for all citizens, regardless of where they live on the island.
The Newry and Armagh MLA said:
“Sinn Féin representatives had constructive engagements at the North South Inter-Parliamentary Association discussing All-Ireland Cancer Care and wider areas of cooperation including.
“Greater collaborative cross border cancer care has the potential to increase access to clinical trials, specialist treatment pathways and share research infrastructure and data.
“This should be a priority for Health Ministers north and south.”
