SPAR and EUROSPAR stores across the country are continuing their support for local communities this new school year by giving away a total of £5,000.
10 schools were awarded £500 as they made their return this September, including Poyntzpass Primary School in Newry.
Shoppers were invited to nominate their local schools to receive the cash. From textbooks to sports equipment and classroom upgrades, the winning schools can spend the £500 on whatever is most needed this new school year.
SPAR and EUROSPAR store teams are dedicated to sustaining and developing their local communities and they have been giving back to local schools across the country throughout the year.
The other winning schools included Mossley Primary School in Newtownabbey, Millburn Primary School in Coleraine, Bunscoil Mhic Reachtain in Belfast, Parkview Special School in Lisburn, St Joseph’s Primary School in Cookstown, St Theresa’s Primary School in Strabane, Larne & Inver Primary School in Larne, Parkhall Primary School in Antrim and Ballymacrickett Primary School in Glenavy.
Stephanie Tares, Brand Marketing Consumer Engagement Manager at Henderson Group, which owns the SPAR and EUROSPAR brands in Northern Ireland, commented, “Giving back to our local communities is at the heart of everything we do. We know schools are often under pressure, so it’s great to be able to provide local schools with a boost to help them purchase much needed equipment for the new school year and show our support for our communities.”
