Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has welcomed a new trial for homes without direct access to electric vehicle charging.
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins announced a six-month pilot scheme to allow electric vehicle charging across footways and pavements to be tested.
“This is a positive announcement by the Infrastructure Minister, providing those without a driveway access to electric vehicle charging in their street,” said the party’s transport spokesperson.
“This will help to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles as we continue working to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change.
“Sinn Féin is committed to addressing climate change and investing in cleaner, greener solutions.”
