Sinn Féin Councillor Bróna Haughey has welcomed confirmation from the Department for Infrastructure that part-time 20-mph speed limit signs will be installed at Foley Primary School and St Mary’s Primary School.

The move comes following Councillor Haughey’s engagement with DfI, highlighting the need for enhanced road safety measures.

Councillor Haughey said:

“I’m pleased to confirm that part-time 20-mph signs have been approved for Foley Primary School in Ballymacnab and St Mary’s Primary School in Granemore.

“This is a welcome step that will improve road safety for school children, parents, and local residents.

“I want to thank Minister Liz Kimmins for her leadership and for prioritising the safety of families in our area.

“Sinn Féin is committed to building safer communities, and we will continue to push for investment and action where it’s needed most.”
