Gaza Demo, Saturday 6th September 1pm Newry

IPSC Newry will be hosting a rally in Newry on Saturday 6th September at 12pm as part of a plan for regional demonstrations across Ireland for Palestine. The demonstration will take place at Newry Town Hall.

IPSC Newry chairperson Marc Mac Seáin comments:

“We approach 2 full years of Zionist starvation & pulverisation of Gaza. They are closer than ever to achieving their goal of a Palestine without Palestinians. Trump & Netanyahu salivate at plans to turn Gaza into a riviera as the West Bank is more quietly annexed. Yet disgracefully still in Ireland our governments are complicit, as is the Western World.

“The Occupied Territories Bill has been stalled and stripped of weight. The minimum form of sanctions against both goods & services from apartheid territories still not passed by the Oireachtas. InvestNI still continues to give public funds to firms known to be involved in Israel’s military supply chain with no scrutiny. Zionist armaments go unassailed through Irish skies, many even stopping on Warplanes in Shannon & Aldergrove airports. Protesters against Western complicity in this genocide are being criminalised and repressed.

“Join us to demand basic action against genocide from our governments. What is happening to the Palestinians could happen to any of us. Should Ireland take the necessary steps to isolate the Zionist Genocidal Apartheid Settler-Colony, it would start knocking over the dominos across the Western World to dismantle it.”
